What We Offer

InSight is a social enterprise established to improve autism awareness and practice amongst communities and organisations. It is led by professional and experienced people on the autistic spectrum who can talk from experience about practical measures that can enable autistic people in work, relationships, education and as customers. We can offer bespoke;-

  • 1: 1 problem solving support and mentoring
  • Organisational audits against best practice guidelines
  • Practical support for autistic employees and their managers

Autism (including Asperger’s condition) is a complex condition estimated to affect around one in a hundred people in the UK.  Many people will come into contact with an autistic person in everyday life; many organisations have autistic people in their workforce and as customers.  One of the protected characteristics of the Equality Act is disability with a duty to make reasonable adjustments for disabled people.

Does your organisation and its managers and staff know how best to;-

Trevor is an experienced and qualified social worker. He is currently employed by Derby City Council as the lead commissioner for Autism. Trevor currently provides training for Derby City Council staff. Trevor also sits on the department of health national programme board for autism. Trevor is also an accomplished local poet, publishing several poems and regularly participating in local festivals and poetry recitals.

Nikki is an experienced teacher and has worked in public and private educational settings with a broad range of children. She currently serves as the Chairman of the Nottinghamshire Branch of the National Autistic Society and on the City Council’s Autism Co-production group and SPLAT board. Nikki has worked on a number of collaborative projects with health and social care.
